eFLOW for Sharepoint
Microsoft SharePoint provides a platform for controlling the management, sharing and archiving stages of the information lifecycle. The eFLOW for SharePoint suite of products extends this functionality to provide automation for capturing content and simplicity for finding content.

Site Taxonomy
SharePoint content is organised into a taxonomy that can be configured to meet the needs of the organisation. The taxonomy consists of sites/workspaces which reflect the logical groups of information (e.g. division/department/activity) and libraries for holding content.
Content Types
Content Types enable Information Managers to define the attributes and behaviour of documents across the enterprise, this includes:
- The metadata or properties to be assigned
- Document Templates that the content will be based on
- Workflows available for items of this content type. These can be defined to start automatically based on a selected event or condition, or through user selection
- Information management policies (content review/expiration scheduling, document auditing etc)
eFLOW repository for SharePoint
eFLOW repository for SharePoint seamlessly integrates the document and data capture processing capabilities of the eFLOW platform with Microsoft SharePoint, to provide an end to end solution for capturing and storing documents.
Enterprise Connector
The enterprise connector re-uses data captured as part of the eFLOW processing workflows, to automatically store documents into the appropriate location within the SharePoint taxonomy and assign any metadata information required for the Content Type.
Content Type Search
The TIS Content Type Search integrates with SharePoint Content Types to provide a customised search interface which is optimised for repository searching:
- In-context searching based on SharePoint Content Types
- Specific search interface for each Content Type
- Reduces the time taken to find content
- Enhances the out of the box SharePoint “Content” search

The Benefits:
- Leverages existing investment in Microsoft Technologies
- Automatically archives images scanned as part of a data capture process
- Extensible to include other content sources (e.g. Fax, Email, File Share etc.)
eFLOW classifier for SharePoint
eFLOW classifier for SharePoint enables information managers to centrally define the attributes and behaviours of all corporate document types, this information is synchronised with the eFLOW Smart document classification engine to provide an automated mailroom for both incoming and outgoing documents.
Using the content stored in SharePoint, the classifier uses a continuous self learning cycle to ensure that any new document types are recognised, therefore reducing the administration overhead of maintaining the solution.
Combining classification with data capture enables information to be automatically captured during the process, which can be used to update line of business systems (e.g. ERP) and also to determine the repository storage location and metadata.
The Benefits:
All of the eFLOW repository benefits plus:
- Self learning document classification, reduces the ongoing administration costs
- Centralised configuration of the information lifecycle reduces administration complexity and cost
